Mexico City, Mexico, May 12, 2025. Mexico Pacific, developer of the natural gas liquefaction project located in Sonora, announced the appointment of Manuela (Nelly) Molina as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

With more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector in the United States and Mexico, Nelly Molina has held key leadership positions in companies such as Sempra, IEnova, Kinder Morgan Mexico and El Paso Corp Mexico. Most recently she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at California Resources Corporation.

In this position, with her binational experience and strategic vision, Nelly Molina will focus on the next phase of the Mexico Pacific project, its growth and consolidation for a successful execution.

Mexico Pacific project will mark a milestone in Mexico’s energy path, representing an engine for economic and social growth in the region, creating jobs and supporting the Sonora Plan to drive sustainable infrastructure and the transition to cleaner energy. The project confirms its commitment to the communities, strengthening sustainable social development.
